AXIS Project

Edmund Rice Youth and Community Multiplex

The Axis Project was set up to provide an “out of hours” youth work service to young people on Friday evenings and throughout the weekend.  The target group is young people of mixed gender aged between 10 and 19 years of age and who live in the Ballybeg Estate. Age appropriate programmes are designed to respond to the interests and developmental needs of the Young People.
A wide variety of media are used to engage with young people and to identify and respond to their needs and interests. Examples of such media are crafts, music, sports and games, team building activities, developmental group work, computers, issue-based sessions, cookery and outdoor pursuits. Members have additional opportunities for participation through special events, residential weekends and the extensive Annual Summer Programme.
